Pastor Fernie Rivera
Pastor Fernie is the lead pastor and founder of Mid City Church. Prior to moving to Baton Rouge in 2015, Fernie led the launch of a new worshipping community in Chicago. He graduated from a United Methodist High School called Lydia Patterson Institute in 2007, Oklahoma City University in 2011 and received his M.Div from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 2015. Fernie is passionate about planting churches so that people can discover life and purpose in Jesus.
Katie Davis
Katie is our Director of Operations at Mid City Church. She does everything from social media and communications to small group engagement and logistical support. She was born in La Grande, OR but moved to Baton Rouge in 2010. She gradated from LSU in 2017 where she majored in Psychology and Sociology. She is a dog mom and loves reading!
Jamie Rhodes
Jamie is our Worship Leader at Mid City Church. A few fun facts about Jamie: she is from Bourg, LA and attends LSU. Jamie also works at chick-fil-a and is a dog mom!
Sophia Abbott
Sophia is our Ministry Associate at Mid City Church. She helps Mid City Church run by completing administrative tasks, connecting with college-aged young adults, and so much more! Sophia is from Cooper, TX and graduated from LSU. She is a dog mom, she's been to 26 states, and is the biggest LSU fan!
