Job Responsibilities
The duties for the Worship and Media Director include but are not limited to:
- Leading and Coordinating worship ministry for Emerging Worship (Mid City Church & The America Street Service) by
- Leading worship on a weekly basis
- Leading band rehearsals when necessary
- Finding, equipping and leading worship leaders for all campuses
- Finding, equipping and leading musicians for all campuses
- Providing leadership for the vision of all campuses
- Work with the Emerging Worship team to improve, plan and execute our weekly worship experiences.
- Attend Worship Planning Meeting
- Attend Church Worship Review meeting
- Attend team mission/vision meetings
- Attend/Lead(when necessary) band rehearsals at all campuses to ensure congruency in ministry.
- Find, train, and empower volunteers to be a part of our creative team including but not limited to…
- ProPresenter Volunteers for media
- Video/Live Stream Volunteers
- Sound and Lighting Volunteers
- Scripture Readers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Agree with Mid City Church’s vision and core values
- The person in this position is fully committed to Christ.
- The candidate is a goal-oriented self-starter who understands that the goals of Christian leadership are 1) to serve and not to be served, 2) to empower others to do the work of God’s kingdom, and 3) to become a leader who raises up leaders who raise up leaders.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Worship leading experience
- Must play at least one instrument proficiently
- Experience with Planning Center and ProPresenter
- Ability to manage volunteers
- Desire to learn
